Mammoth WVH Wolfgang Van Halen 's project , continues promoting their first studio album. The group released the electrifying track "Feel" this Friday, the 23rd, questioning expectations in a relationship.
“It was always the way it should be / But it wasn’t enough / It was always the way you thought of me / Wasn’t I enough?”, the artist questions in the opening verses. The song can be interpreted as an account of an interpersonal relationship with misaligned expectations or a venting of the difficulty of being seen beyond his kinship with his father, Eddie Van Halen , despite the opportunities that this brought.
With the extremely personal nature of the project, which marks Wolfgang's first time outside the shadow of Van Halen, the album involves the musician in all aspects, from the lyrics and all the instruments to the vocals. Besides the inspiration from his father's work, Wolfgang also cites groups like AC/DC, Foo Fighters, Nine Inch Nails, TOOL , and Jimmy Eat World as influences.
Mammoth WVH's debut album will be released on June 11th. See cover art and tracklist below.
