Legendary guitarist Eddie Van Halen recently received a fitting tribute: a mural painted by Robert Vargas at the Guitar Center in Hollywood, Los Angeles . However, the artwork didn't please some of the musician's fans, but it certainly satisfied the most important person: his heir, Wolfgang .

In response to a fan who wrote on social media about the mural, “I loved Eddie but this doesn’t look anything like him,” Wolf retorted with an image of the artwork and the photograph Vargas used as inspiration, “This guy needs to get some glasses, because he can’t see shit. The mural is incredible. Literally perfect. I can understand ‘not liking a particular piece of art’ for whatever reason, but saying it doesn’t look like him makes you look REALLY stupid. It’s not even a matter of taste, it’s just wrong.”

Wolfgang had already shared his happiness with the tribute to his father, posting on his Twitter when the mural was unveiled, “I want to extend my sincerest thanks to the incomprehensibly talented @TheRobertVargas, and @guitarcenter for this incredible mural of my father at Guitar Center Hollywood. What an incredible honor to see my father immortalized in such a beautiful way.”
