Within Temptation has released another single from the band's new phase. "Ritual" is part of their 8th studio album, Bleed Out , which will be released on October 20, 2023.
“Ritual,” as vocalist Sharon den Adel explains in a statement released to the press, is one of the most daring songs the band has ever written and is inspired by From Dusk Till Dawn Quentin Tarantino film about a seemingly normal road trip that turns into a vampire hunter's party.
"It's a fun song about seduction. It's about a woman taking power in a male-dominated world and taking her own initiative," she explains.
The band has already released the title track from the album , "Wireless," and "Don't Pray For Me .
New Within Temptation album 2023
Within Temptation's new album is Bleed Out , the highly anticipated successor to Resist (2019). Featuring 11 tracks, the album will be released on October 20th by Force Music Recordings, the band's own label. Pre-orders are now available ; see the cover art and tracklist here .
Sonically, the project promises "contemporary and impactful riffs and grandiose melodies that showcase their symphonic roots," with provocative lyrical themes. "More than ever, this is a band that is not afraid to take a stand on issues that are important to them," they describe in a press release.
