Vended , a band led by Griffin Taylor, son of Corey Taylor , and Simon Crahan, son of Shawn “Clown” Crahan , both from Slipknot , are featured in Wikimetal Recommends .
The group, formed in 2018, came with high expectations. According to its members , they seek world domination. This type of ambition has been seen before, with the duo's parents. Today, Slipknot is one of the biggest metal and nu metal bands of the moment, and Vended follows in their footsteps.
Besides Taylor (vocals) and Crahan (drums), the group consists of Cole Espeland (guitar), Jeremiah Pugh (bass), and Connor Grodzicki (guitar). In 2021, Vended released the singles “Asylum” and “Burn My Misery,” which were part of their debut EP, What Is It//Kill It. This year, the group released the singles “Ded to Me” and “Overall.” Listen to the songs at the end of this article.
Innovating with their heavy sound, just like their parents in Slipknot, Vended has grown and achieved considerable success, especially in the United States, where they have already played sold-out shows. Next December 18th, it will be Brazil's turn to witness the group live. They are part of the lineup for the first Knotfest in the country, which will take place at the Anhembi Sambadrome in São Paulo. More information can be found here.
