The São Paulo-based band Under Influence It Is What It Is, last Thursday, the 16th . Featuring 5 tracks, the quartet combined influences from 90s melodic hardcore with elements from other genres, creating more elaborate arrangements and exploring new sounds.

This is the group's second release, and it follows their debut album Same Old, Same Old (2022) with a direct line in the creative process: “The new EP started with the recording of Satanic Part Two, which is like a continuation of the last song from the band's first work. Our goal remains to have a simple sound, but this time we worked more on the songs. It's a more mature project, with more technical songs,” says the band.

The previously released singles “Saudade”, “198What” and “We Ain't No Bonnie and Clyde” are joined by the tracks “Late” and “Satanic Part Two” to complete the EP's tracklist.

Throughout the songs, the group explores different sounds and emotions; at times even incorporating elements of genres such as thrash metal, surf music, and funk grooves. But always maintaining the simple and direct approach of hardcore: "We joke that our slogan is 'In tupátupá we trust!'; it's fast beats, beautiful melodies, well-crafted bass lines, and guitars with many melodic details."

Dead Fish, Bullet Bane, Hateen and others have recorded

Under Influence consists of Guilherme Sanches (vocals and guitar), Antonio Polverini (guitar), Diogo Pinto (bass), and Rafael Ferraz (drums).
