The prologue precedes the first chapter of a story and prepares the audience for what is to come in the great journey that is about to begin. In Prologue Impavid Colossus ' debut album , the audience is introduced to the universe of one of the biggest revelations on the national scene in two acts. After the first listen, it becomes impossible not to feel anxious for what comes next.
Formed during the pandemic, the band has yet to have the opportunity to perform any live shows. In a way, the release of the first songs from the project by Enrico Minelli (vocals), Marcelo Barchetta (guitar), Felipe Ruiz (guitar), Guilherme Malanga (bass), and Alexandre Iafelice (drums) may seem suspended in anticipation of the explosive future that awaits them, when the group can finally show their full power on stage, but the energy of the 12 songs chosen to be part of the project is palpable.
The solid work presented in the singles that preceded the album, prophetically released on World Rock Day , demonstrated the mastery of different styles , mixing each one's personal references, from grunge to hardcore, to past and present experiences in renowned bands on the national and international scene, such as Cruz, Owl Company, Rancore and Supla .
With Minelli's characteristic and striking vocals, capable of summoning legions to sing along to "Rise and Fall" or moving listeners with "Hope ," Impavid Colossus wins over fans from various backgrounds with the perfect balance of heaviness and melody, cinematic care in music videos and visual pieces, whether in lyric videos or album cover, and thought-provoking lyrics about the human experience.
The album's interludes showcase the incredible team that has formed within the band, with epic foreshadowings of what's to come, featuring frenetic drumming, unforgettable choruses, and guitar solos that defy the heavens and anyone who dares to repeat the blasphemy that proclaims the death of rock.
