Hurricanes released their self-titled debut album last Friday, the 30th, via ForMusic Records . The album blends contemporary sounds with the roots of 70s blues and rock.
“We are very happy with the result, the feedback on the singles has been excellent and that motivates us a lot,” revealed guitarist Leo Mayer . “We are already working on new compositions for a second album, and we hope to be back in the studio soon!”
Previously, the Brazilian band released three of the eight tracks from the project: “ The Bird's Gone ”, “ Purple Clouds ”, and “ Thunder in the Storm ”.
The production of the self-titled album Hurricanes was handled by Mayer himself. The artist explained: “We decided to record live, face to face, to try to bring that more spontaneous, live feel. Using vintage instruments gave us a more old-school sound, but always combined with a more modern recording and mixing process.”
