HARDY combines rock, hardcore and country in new album 'the mockingbird & THE CROW'

The musician's second album consolidates the mix of sounds he presented on his debut 'A Rock' (2020).

musician HARDY released his second studio album, the mockingbird & THE CROW.

The new release is a mix of country, rock, and hardcore. The title track, for example, which has a music video – watch it at the end of this article – combines elements of all these genres, expanding the singer's sound.

Speaking about this mix of sounds he creates, HARDY commented to SPIN : “I would love for people to be as surprised as possible. I would love for people to be taken on an emotional rollercoaster… The biggest expectation I could have is to make people relate to a song, really feel something and maybe overcome some kind of trauma or something like that because of it,” he continued.

HARDY continues, “I’m extremely excited to release this album. I truly believe these are the best two years of my writing and I think it perfectly describes who I am as an artist, having grown up listening to rock 'n roll, but also adult country. Thank you all for your support and to everyone for working so hard to bring this album to life. I hope you all enjoy it.”

About HARDY

Born in Philadelphia, Mississippi, Hardy has his family and musical roots in Nashville, Tennessee, the home of country music. Despite his strong country influences and having worked with some of the genre's biggest artists today ( Florida Georgia Line, Chris Lane, Blake Shelton, Thomas Rhett ), the musician doesn't limit himself to a single style.

The blend of country with rock and hardcore has become his trademark. In 2020 he released his debut album, A Rock , which showcased the singer's unique sound. Now, this identity becomes clearer and stronger with the mockingbird & THE CROW.
