Get the Shot released the single "Divination of Doom" on August 25th, the fourth track from their upcoming album Merciless Destruction, scheduled for release on October 7th.

In the song, the Canadian band showcases the diverse musical influences that shape their sound, from traditional hardcore to death metal. The release was accompanied by a video featuring live footage from their latest tour in Quebec.

Speaking about the single, the group said in a press statement: “This song is a primordial anthem for disillusioned young people trapped in a society built on oppression and injustice. The German philosopher Theodor Adorno once asked if it was possible to live a good life in a bad life. To this, we respond from a pessimistic point of view; in this hopeless world, every day is a day of violence. Therefore, faced with this permanent state of war, we have no choice but to offer total resistance, even knowing that death is the only way out of this mess.”

“Divination of Doom” follows the singles “Deathbound” featuring Rob Watson , “Survival Denied” and “Bloodbather” with Matthias Tarnath.
