Cypher16 proves metal power in new single “Another High”

Cypher16 is preparing to release his second studio album. Titled It's A Long Way Back (From This Road) in early 2023 via Constant Evolution Records.

Despite being only on their second album, the group has been on the road for a decade. Formed by Jack Doolan (vocals and guitar), Will Cass (guitar and vocals), Rich Hinks (bass), and Declan Doran (drums), the band has toured seventeen countries, including several tours in China and India. On these trips, they have played shows and festivals with bands such as Nightwish, Amaranthe, Fear Factory, Children Of Bodom, Behemoth, Lamb Of God , and Slayer .

In an interview with Wikimetal , Cypher16 defined the band's sound as "heavy, hard rock and industrial," with the distinguishing feature of using only clean vocals and harmony to present lyrics that reflect the personal experiences of the members, but also echo current collective experiences.

A good example of this is the group's latest single, "Another High," released this month. The lyrics offer a somber account of emotional difficulties experienced especially during the period of social isolation. "We hope that people who are struggling [with something] can identify with some of the things mentioned. Our door is also open to anyone who wants to talk," they said about the track.
