On Monday, June 8th, at 11 PM, Wikimetal will pay tribute to Andre Matos , the greatest vocalist in Brazilian metal. Radio 89 FM will host a special program featuring former bandmates and friends of the singer.
The hour-long program celebrates the vocalist's musical career on the one-year anniversary of his death. The show is hosted by the founders of Wikimetal ( Daniel Dystyler , Nando Machado , and Rafael Masini ), who also host the country's longest-running rock and heavy metal podcast (listen to the Wikimetal podcast here ).
will feature music from the main bands Andre has been a part of, such as Angra , Shaman , his solo career, and Viper , with the latter receiving special attention.
Figures from the national rock and metal scene offered some words about the vocalist, an irreparable loss to music. Among the guests are the members of Viper, Felipe Machado , Guilherme Martin and Yves Passarell (current guitarist of Capital Inicial ); Rafael Bittencourt (Angra); Luis Mariutti (Angra, Shaman and solo career); and finally, Hugo Mariutti (Shaman, solo career and Viper).
An unreleased message recorded by Andre Matos will be played during the special. Wikimetal and Radio 89 FM seek to perpetuate Andre Matos' legacy, celebrating his entire contribution to music.
