Wikimetal Podcast Episode 300

Wikimetal Podcast #300 | The oldest rock podcast in the country

Wikimetal's podcast, the oldest rock podcast in the country, releases its 300th episode in a celebratory mood.

In this new and special episode, the editorial team shares stories and memories from Wikimetal.

Three hundred episodes and almost four hundred hours of podcast! Wikimetal launched its podcast on the first day of 2011, when everything was still uncharted territory. Almost no one knew what a podcast was, much less understood its purpose, but Daniel Dystyler , Nando Machado, and Rafael Masini , co-founders of Wikimetal, dove body and soul into the endeavor, without imagining what the future would hold – or if it would even have one.

Shortly after, the creation of the website was inevitable; rock and metal fans were thirsty for information, conversations, and, of course, rock and roll. Now, nine years later, the podcast reaches its 300th episode, an unprecedented and spectacular milestone. What began as a conversation between three friends has become a successful business with six music lovers. Daniel, Nando, and Rafael later invited Erica Roumieh , Isabela “Pétala” Alcântara , and Marcela Lorenzetti Julia Sabbaga and Eric Campi , former collaborators of the website, also passed through the project

The journey hasn't been a bed of roses as it seems. The project went through a hiatus of almost two years while the team formed and contributed to other Wikimetal initiatives (more content on the site, growth of social media presence, partnership with Gastão Moreira KZG News program , and much more!). But here we are! 2020 is proving to be a very complicated year, and no one will deny it, and it's incredible to see where we are despite all of this.

We are lovers of rock and metal, and that will always unite us, and the world needs unity like it hasn't in a long time. That being said, it is a great pleasure to announce episode number 300 to our readers.

We would like to thank all the collaborators – both current and former – our partners, and of course, our fans. Without them, rock and metal wouldn't be alive today, and Wikimetal definitely wouldn't be here. So, thank you! This victory is as much ours as it is yours, headbangers.

Without further ado, here's the new episode! Remember, of course, that the Wikimetal podcast is available on all streaming platforms, and below you can find the full episode on Spotify and YouTube (without music).
