Queensrÿche Begins Recording New Album
Queensrÿche has released a video previewing demos for a new CD.
The band announced that they will be entering the studio to record later this month. The album, which is expected to be released in 2013, will be produced by James Barton, who worked with the band on Operation: Mindcrime, Empire, and Promised Land.
The CD will be the first since the dispute with Geoff Tate, the band's former frontman, who says he is working in collaboration with Chris De Garmo, former guitarist of Queensrÿche. The band and its former leader are currently in a legal dispute over the use of the name.
