Ariane Garcia , wife of Eloy Casagrande , shared on her Instagram last Thursday, the 9th, her happiness about the drummer joining Slipknot .
In her post, made just over two weeks after his first show with the nu metal band, Ariane didn't hide her excitement at seeing her husband realize a dream that, according to her, was a long-held one.
“The dream isn’t new; Eloy introduced me to Slipknot a few years ago when I jokingly suggested that one day he would play in Metallica . He immediately said 'no,' that his greatest desire was to one day be among the masked men of Iowa. I confess that the first video slightly scared me, but, little by little, I saw how much meaning and art that whole spectacle was,” says the plastic surgeon.
In the text, Ariane also mentions Sepultura , which was part of the drummer's career for almost 13 years, until his departure in February of this year.
“Eloy always pursued all the projects he was involved in with great joy and dedication, especially Sepultura, with almost 13 years of history and immersion. But, for those who have followed this drummer for longer, they know that the end of the band could never make him retire his drumsticks. His arms and especially his soul cried out for more,” says Ariane.
Eloy's wife ends her text in a touching way, wishing the drummer much success in this new phase of his life:
"May you continue to inspire me as much as you constantly inspire me. You deserve the world and every inch of the affection and recognition you have received. You more than deserve this dream. Live! May you experience all of this to the fullest! Every note on every stage! I love you and I love walking through life with you."
Eloy Casagrande responds to his wife's statement.
In the comments section of the post, the drummer quickly appeared, reciprocating the affection shown in Ariane's declaration.
“I have no words to thank you. I couldn't have done it without you, and I don't mean that lightly. You shared every second and emotion with me. Good and bad feelings. Happiness and despair. I felt like you were an extension of myself, someone I could find strength and comfort in. So enjoy it, because this moment is ours. I am complete with you, we are so much greater as a couple. I love you,” says Eloy.
