With over three years on the road, one album released, and shows at major Brazilian festivals such as Rock in Rio , Angra Fest , Chama Rock , and Best of Blues and Rock , the band Malvada announces a new vocalist and a new phase.
Singer-songwriter Indira Castillo takes over vocals for the all-female São Paulo-based rock group, bringing a powerful and distinctive vocal signature to the project.
Regarding her relationship with the band, Indira says that "I already knew and had been following the girls since their last release, ' Perfeito Imperfeito, ' and I already had a great admiration for the members and the work they released. 'Malvada' never went unnoticed."
Drummer Juliana Salgado comments that "Indira joining the band is bringing new influences and a different feel to our sound. Malvada will continue on its path and aim to establish itself in the national rock scene with all the energy and drive it maintains."
The band is preparing for this new phase with a project that aims to unite two elements: the work they have been doing in recent years and the essence that Indira brings to her solo career, building a new look for their visual identity and sound. “I believe that the fusion of influences and our musical references will bear good fruit. The public can expect more good music with a new flavor!” says the new vocalist. And “that’s exactly what I hope for: a new Malvada, but without losing its essence,” adds Juliana.
Regarding the departure of Angel Sberse , former vocalist and songwriter of Malvada, the band comments that this is not a time for farewell, but rather for new paths. Angel is beginning a new phase of her career, in addition to dedicating more time to projects in her personal life.
