The website Menina Headbanger published the results of a survey that sought to profile the Brazilian headbanger.

This work is an initiative of Iza Rodrigues, who runs the Menina Headbanger website. With 2818 responses, the survey defined the tastes and habits of Metal lovers in Brazil. Check out some of the survey data:

– 31% of headbangers have liked Heavy Metal for more than 15 years
– 55% of headbangers still buy CDs
– 29% don't go to shows if the price is too high
– 17% already buy music digitally
– 74% don't buy printed magazines and zines.
– 25% think the problem with specialized media is a lack of knowledge about Heavy Metal
– 36% think what harms Brazilian Metal is the audience that doesn't attend shows
– 61% have suffered some type of discrimination
