Marco Mendoza , Dino Jelusić , and Ivan Keller announced an exclusive performance by the band Whitesnake Experience By Members of Whitesnake.
The announcement was made during a press conference held last week in Belgrade, Serbia. The conference announced the participants of the 58th Zaječar Guitar Festival, scheduled to take place from August 28 to 30 in Kraljevica.
The project, created especially for the Zaječar Guitar Festival, will feature a single show reuniting the members of Whitesnake. The project includes not only Marco Mendoza (bassist) and Dino Jelusić (vocalist), but also Tommy Aldridge (drummer), Joel Hoekstra (guitarist), and Michele Luppi (keyboardist).
In the press conference, Marco Mendoza explained why they chose to hold this unique show in Serbia. The band has always been very well received in the country and has had sold-out shows in the capital, Belgrade.
“Tradition and quality are very important to us, and the Guitar Festival, with its 58-year history, is something you should respect and value. Its audience is one of the best in the world, and I believe they will love this performance with us.”
Dino Jelusić added that the band is preparing a special setlist featuring Whitesnake's greatest hits.
“Singing the songs of my childhood idol, David Coverdale , is a special honor and pleasure for me. Although I have played with some of the biggest names in world rock, Whitesnake's songs are the ones I enjoy the most, and playing with such a fantastic group of musicians is pure hedonism for me.”
Later, David Coverdale approved the project, adding a special exclusive for the 58th Guitar Festival in Zaječar.
