Whitesnake kicked off the Farewell Tour , announced as David Coverdale 's farewell , last Tuesday, the 10th, with the band's new lineup.
With Europe and Foreigner as guest bands, the first show of the tour took place in Dublin, the capital of Ireland, and marked the debut of two new faces in the line-up: Tanya O'Callaghan , the new bassist chosen to replace Michael Devin , and keyboardist Dino Jelusick , who is also a singer and is expected to share some vocals at the shows and joined the guitarists' solo duel by playing the keytar.
The band is expected to tour South America, with Coverdale specifically mentioning Brazil as a must-see country on the schedule. "Not being able to thank the UK, not being able to thank Germany, Japan, Brazil, would be heartbreaking," he said when announcing his retirement from performing live.
