Whitesnake fans ! The band will release the third and final album in the Red, White and Blues : The Blue Album arrives soon, on February 19th.
The album follows the compilations organized by themes, Love Songs (red), The Rock Album (white), which began to be released last year.
The new compilation will bring together a mix of classic and lesser-known tracks from Whitesnake albums spanning from 1984 to 2011, and even songs from David Coverdale , Into The Light .
The vocalist elaborates on the inspiration behind the project, which reflects the importance of blues in rock, citing names like Muddy Waters , Howlin' Wolf , King Albert, BB King , and King Freddie as idols of the genre: “It’s difficult to find the words to deeply express how they [Muddy, Howlin', Albert, BB, and Freddie] connected with my soul. But 'blues' for me is a beautiful word that describes a sentimental expression… feelings, whether feelings of sadness, loneliness, emptiness… but also those that express great happiness, celebration, dance, sensuality, and love!!!”
