How many band t-shirts do you have in your closet? Now think about the closets of all rock and metal fans around the world. And add to that those who aren't fans of the genres, but also like the aesthetic. But the burning question is: which band is present in the majority of these closets? A study by RushOrderTees unravels this mystery.

The company surveyed approximately 1,017 band t-shirt owners to collect the data. They divided the results by genre and artist. Other findings from the study show that heavy metal fans own the largest number of band t-shirts, averaging 17%. However, punk fans spend more money on their t-shirt collection, totaling $597 on average, which is more than 3,000 reais.
The ranking was led by a band straight from Australia: AC/DC . The band is featured on at least one band t-shirt worn by 21.4% of survey participants. Aerosmith, Queen, Pink Floyd , and Green Day complete the top 5. To the surprise of some, Nirvana and Metallica fell slightly below the top 10, losing out to pop names like Prince and even Ariana Grande .
