AC/DC, which initially had a single show date announced in Brazil for February 22nd, sold out in about 95 minutes and immediately opened two new dates – which also sold out quickly. Now the group will perform three shows in São Paulo, all at Estádio Morumbi, on February 22nd and 28th, and March 4th.

The iconic Australian band returns to Brazil after more than 15 years of absence from local stages with the Power Up , marking the triumphant return of a beloved and widely revered band, considered one of the greatest in rock 'n' roll history. Brazilian fans can expect nostalgic setlists, intense energy, striking production, and a band that, even after decades, continues to deliver classic rock shows with intensity and passion.

Opening with The Pretty Reckless

The Pretty Reckless , led by Taylor Momsen , will open the shows in Brazil and Latin America, just as they did in the European and North American legs, offering a warm-up with alternative rock.

The American band emerged in 2009 and gained fame with landmark albums such as Light Me Up (2010) , Going to Hell (2014) , and Who You Selling For (2016) , which achieved prominence on international rock charts, and they remain active with recent works such as Death by Rock and Roll (2021).

In Brazil, the group made its debut in 2012 and returned in 2017, when it performed a mini-tour through four Brazilian capitals (Curitiba, Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo and Belo Horizonte) with sold-out tickets. Now scheduled as the opening act for AC/DC , The Pretty Reckless arrives in the country again bringing its history of hits and a consolidated fan base.

Performance that divides opinions

In recent performances in Australia, AC/DC has explored robust visual effects, including screens with cars on the road and giant bells for the famous "Hells Bells," reinforcing the theatrical and immersive atmosphere of their shows.

International reviews highlight that, despite the advanced age of members like Brian Johnson (vocals) , Angus Young , and Stevie Young (guitar), the band still delivers vigorous performances and maintains a connection with the audience, playing great classics with energy and precision.

Reviews also praise the group's ability to sustain long performances filled with classics, with Brian Johnson still managing to lead the repertoire with enthusiasm, even while facing natural limitations.

"Regardless of whether the legendary band returns in the future or not, those who attended the Power Up Tour got what they expected and more, leaving with big smiles on their faces and an unforgettable memory," highlighted the review on The Intelligencer .

On the other hand, some fans have criticized the band's performance. Especially after videos of their latest performances went viral on TikTok , showing Brian Johnson with a weaker voice and seemingly poor sound at times, leading some users to suggest that the band should retire instead of continuing to perform.

One internet user stated: “I was going to buy tickets until I saw this.” Another fan pointed out: “I really wanted to see them this year… Now I don’t anymore, thanks for this.” While another argued: “Let them do what they want! I’ll still go see them to say I saw them for the last time” [via TMDQA! ]

The band alternates between classic hits and memorable solos by Angus Young . They also frequently close with classics like "TNT" and "For Those About to Rock (We Salute You)" during the encore.
