Weezer 's lead singer , Rivers Cuomo , delivered a rendition of Nirvana during quarantine.
Cuomo performed the cover via Zoom, a program he's been using to hold sessions for fans during isolation. In these sessions, Weezer recently played two new songs, "Hero" and "Blue Dream," which will be on the band's upcoming album, Van Weezer .
In addition to unreleased tracks, the band also made a guest appearance on The Simpsons , playing their unmistakable opening theme song and debuting the track "Blue Dream," mentioned above, in the episode.
