Weezer preparing not just one, but four albums to be released this year.
In a tweet , vocalist Rivers Cuomo explained that each album will be named after a season of the year, and the project as a whole will be called SZNS . Although release dates have already been set, the musician also made it clear that the project has not been confirmed with any record label or manager.
The idea is that each new Weezer album will be released on the first day of the season that bears its name. The first album, Spring , is scheduled for release on March 20th, which marks the beginning of spring in the Northern Hemisphere. The remaining releases would be Summer , on June 20th, Fall , on September 22nd, and Winter , on December 21st.
The news comes a year after the release of Weezer's 14th studio album, OK Human .
