This week: Black Sabbath, Between The Buried And Me, and Lamb Of God. Turn up the volume!!!

Daniel's sound of the week:

Today I saw a picture of dear Ronnie James Dio and it brought back immense nostalgia for this giant. Not in height, but in music and in life. I've heard so many stories about how Dio was a beloved, kind, and special human being that he is an example to be followed by me.

So I spent ages listening to just Dio and Sabbath to ease the homesickness, and when this song came on, I knew it would be my Weekly Metal playlist for the week.

Rafael's sound of the week:

My history with Between The Buried And Me is recent, but overwhelming, just like the sound of these guys.

I was positioning myself among many photographers in the press area to photograph the first three songs of 'Bullet For My Valentine' when a guy approached me and asked if I liked heavy music. I said yes, and that's when he told me this strange name. I, who have zero command of English, only managed to memorize "Between," and later, with a search, I discovered the full name of this band capable of heating up Alaska.

Well, maybe the guy was talking about another band with "Between" in the name, but either way, it was fate. Too much metal fate!
