Weedevil delivers a message of overcoming adversity and turning things around in their new single, "Underwater."

The lyrics have a personal meaning for vocalist and songwriter Lo Scar

In early February, Weedevil released the single "Underwater." The track is part of their first full-length album, The Return , which debuts the band's new lineup and is scheduled for release in April.

“Underwater” is guided by stoner and doom metal influences, sounding dense, somber, and with a touch of tragedy. The song narrates the turbulent story of a woman through mysterious and dangerous waters, surrounded by menacing sea creatures that wish to drag her to the bottom of the sea. The track inspires agony and danger, but also presents a positive twist in its climax, with the woman finally revealing her power and becoming an entity that overcomes her aggressors before encountering the void.

According to a statement and the lyrics by vocalist Lo Scar , the song helps to paint a picture of what unfolded during a physically and emotionally turbulent time, with the first rehearsal of the new lineup taking place while she was injured, as well as everything that developed since then, until her recovery.
