Ben Moody stated that a We Are The Fallen reunion could still happen. The former Evanescence guitarist discussed the matter during an interview on The Joel Martin Mastery podcast .
We Are The Fallen is a band formed by former Evanescence: guitarists Ben Moody and John LeCompt , drummer Rocky Gray, vocalist Carly Smithsona former contestant on the reality music show American Idol) , and bassist Marty O'Brien.
According to the musician, the band resumed discussions about new projects after a special performance in Nashville, Tennessee, in September 2025, when the band took the stage for the first time in 14 years.
"Maybe I'm being a little hasty, but screw it... Carly just left. She was here [at my house]. We've been working on some things. We've been in negotiations and threatening to do something since that show last September.".
Moody also confirmed the existence of unreleased We Are The Fallen songs. Some of this material was reportedly created during the time of the album Tear The World Down, released in 2010. "There are things we did even for that first album that weren't released. In addition, ideas emerged after that and other things," revealed Moody.
The guitarist explained that there were no internal conflicts among the members; everyone maintains a good relationship and shows interest in resuming the band's activities. However, the main difficulty is that he needs to undergo surgery before considering a full return to the stage. Another challenge mentioned involves Marty O'Brien, as he currently Daughtry .
“I refuse to believe that there’s nothing in the future of We Are The Fallen, simply because we didn’t break up because of some internal fight. Everyone involved loves each other very much and has immense respect for one another. A lot happened behind the scenes, things that nobody knows, things that were costly and ended up taking away a lot from the essence of the project. But we are all very proud of it.”
