Slipknot vocalist Corey Taylor spoke about the new album, We Are Not Your Kind . According to him, it features the "heaviest" lyrics he's written "in a long time."
Scheduled for release on August 9th, the album is produced by Greg Fidelman, of .5: The Gray Chapter .
Speaking to iHeartRadio Canada, Taylor said it will be “heavy, experimental and very melodic. Lyrically, it’s the darkest I’ve been in a long time. I went through a very dark period, which fueled the album’s lyrics. I tried to break free from the chains of depression, negativity. And the mood is very dark. People won’t know what to expect. It’s very crazy.”
