Wattie Buchan , lead singer of The Exploited , fell ill and fainted during a show in Wiesbaden, Germany, last Saturday, the 31st. The musician required immediate medical attention and was taken to a hospital for evaluation.
According to the band, Buchan had been battling the flu in recent days, which may have caused dehydration and his collapse on stage. He is under medical observation while receiving care at the health facility.
Due to the incident, The Exploited announced on social media the cancellation of scheduled shows in Tallinn (Estonia) and Riga (Latvia). The dates in Rostock and Berlin, Germany, will be rescheduled as soon as new information about the musician's recovery becomes available.
Wattie Buchan, 68, has a delicate health history and has faced similar health problems in the past. In 2014, he suffered a heart attack during a show in Portugal. During his farewell tour in Brazil in 2025, Wattie Buchan fell ill and had to cancel the show in Belo Horizonte . On the same tour, the musician became ill and vomited blood during a performance at Circo Voador in Rio de Janeiro. However, he returned after a few minutes and, surprisingly, managed to continue until the end of the show.
