Megadeth frontman Dave Mustaine performed as a soloist with the San Diego Orchestra at a concert called "Symphony Interrupted" on the 12th. At the event, Mustaine and the Orchestra played works by Wagner, Vivaldi, and Bach.

Mustaine wrote on his personal Facebook page that he plans to do more collaborations with the orchestra, saying he already has new ideas for a future event: “ I want everyone to have the opportunity to see this show done right. For the next 'Symphony Interrupted,' as Sinatra says, the best is yet to come.
