Warrel Dane, vocalist for the bands Sanctuary and Nevermore, died last Wednesday, the 13th, after suffering a heart attack in São Paulo.
Dane was in the country working on his second solo album, Shadow Work , and took the opportunity to participate in the RedeTV! Sonoridades
As his last appearance in the press, the broadcaster released a video of the program with a message for the musician.
According to sources close to the musician, the instrumental part of his album was ready, with only Dane's vocals missing.
Nevermore ended its activities in 2011 when guitarist Jeff Loomis and drummer Van Williams announced their departure from the band after personal differences with Dane and bassist Jim Sheppard. Warrel once described Nevermore as "the best band that alcohol ever destroyed" .
Sanctuary, meanwhile, has spent the last few years touring to promote their 2014 album, The Year The Sun Died , and their 2016 Inception
