Wacken Open Air has already announced the first bands for the next edition
A nursing home in Schleswig-Holstein alerted the police after noticing that two residents had escaped. The search led the police to Wacken Open Air, in the town of Wacken, where the elderly residents were found at 3 a.m. and taken back to the nursing home.
Famous for being one of the biggest heavy metal festivals in the world, this year's Wacken Open Air featured Judas Priest, Running Wild, Helloween, Dimmu Borgir, Nightwish, In Flames and many more. In total, 197 bands performed at this year's edition for an audience of 75,000 people.
The festival has already announced the first bands for the next edition, which will take place from August 1st to 3rd, 2019, and will mark the 30th anniversary of Wacken Open Air. 35,000 tickets have already been sold, and you can purchase yours by clicking here .
