The organizers of Wacken Open Air have announced a smaller edition than the original festival, which will only host 20,000 people instead of the usual 75,000.
The "mini edition," named Bullhead City, will take place between September 16th and 18th and will feature several stages, just like the original event. Nightwish, Blind Guardian , and Powerwolf will be the headliners, accompanied by names such as Doro, Saltatio Mortis, Nasty, Gaahls Wyrd, Endseeker, Slope, and Burning Witches.
For now, the organization has not received instructions from the German government regarding the rules they will need to implement, but they should announce the new guidelines soon, taking into account the difficulties of organizing an event during the pandemic.
