The band VRSTY has some exciting news: last Friday, the 4th, the group released their new EP, Cloud City , via Spinefarm Records . And this Monday, the 7th, the opening track “Massive” got a visual makeover in a simple yet intense music video.
“The music video for 'Massive' is perfect for what the song is really trying to say,” says lead singer Joey Varela . “It’s just us in a dark room, performing, loving what we do, having fun like we always have. Just us.”
The singer also shared the inspiration behind the track, “'Massive' is literally all my frustrations coming to the surface. It's years of doing favors and helping others grow their careers, only for me to be accused of being a copycat of 'insert any vocalist here' or being called a background musician. Not this time. I remember writing 'Massive,' and the only thought in my head was, 'They don't take you seriously, but they'll wish they did.'”
