The band will come to Brazil for Lollapalooza
Volbeat is planning to return to the studio later this year to record their seventh studio album. The successor to Seal The Deal & Let's Boogie (2016) will mark the band's first work with bassist Kaspar Boye Larsen.
During an interview on the show The Liquid Conversations, guitarist Rob Caggiano revealed the group's plans to record a new album: “We're going to Latin America and then we're going to play several festivals in Europe. And then at the end of the year we'll start recording new material. We hope to be able to release a new album next year. That's the current plan.”
The band will come to Brazil for the first time to perform at Lollapalooza 2018 after playing in Santiago, Chile and Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Seal The Deal & Let's Boogie was released in June 2016 by Republic Records and took the single “Black Rose” to the number one spot on Billboard's Mainstream Rock chart, becoming Volbeat's sixth song to reach that position.
The only artists to achieve this feat were Van Halen, The Black Crowes, Three Days Grace, and Shinedown.
