Members comment on the departure
Volbeat announced today the departure of bassist Anders Kjølholm from the band. Vocalist Michael Poulsen and drummer Jon Larsen commented on the change:
“Anders has been a very loyal friend and bandmate since 2001. We traveled much of the world together and shared experiences that few bands get to have. We are very grateful for that and wish Anders the best of luck and all the best for the future.”
Anders Kjølholm also made a statement: “It was a great experience to have been part of the Volbeat family for so long and I wish all the best to Michael, Jon, Rob, everyone involved with the band and of course, the fans all over the world.”
