Voivod completes the recording process for their new album

Voivod's new album doesn't have a release date yet

Canadian veterans Voivod entered the studio last November to record the successor to Target Earth , released in 2013.

In a Facebook post, the band stated, “Today, we are proud and happy to say that the recording process for Voivod’s next album is complete! Thank you for your great support!”

Last year, drummer Michel 'Away' Langevin reported that the new material was " very long and progressive" and suggested it could take the form of a double album.

He told Metal Wani: “It’s in the vein of the 2016 EP Post Society. So far, most of the songs are very long and progressive. We want to write some more Rock, to have a good mix. So far, the Thrash Metal is very complex and progressive, with a bit of Punk as always. It’s still Voivod – it’s a new Voivod and I think the spirit is intact. It might be a double vinyl, because so far it’s already very long. When we finish, it will be quite a long album.”

The album does not yet have a title or release date.
