Voivod albums have received new CD editions. The discs are arriving on the Brazilian market through a partnership between Wikimetal and Oporto da Música , which has been releasing new editions of various rock and metal classics that were not widely available. The releases are already available in major stores and online via Wikimetal Store .
Rrröööaaarrr
Rrröööaaarrr (1986) is Voivod's second project and, although it is a thrash album, it represents a progression from the sound of War and Pain towards the more progressive metal elements that would appear in Killing Technology .
Killing Technology
The third album, Killing Technology (1987), was the first to combine elements of progressive rock with thrash metal. The group had previously been more influenced by hardcore punk and crossover bands than by other metal bands, such as Kreator and Motörhead .
Dimension Hatross
Released in 1988, Dimension Hatröss was included by Rolling Stone in 2017 at number 78 on its list of the 100 Greatest Metal Albums of All Time. The fourth and conceptual album narrates the exploits of the cyborg Korgull, mascot of Voivod.
