Yesterday, the Canadian band Voivod announced some exciting news: a live album titled Lost Machine is coming soon via Century Records on November 27th. To celebrate, the band shared a live recording of the title track.
“Here it is, finally, the first single and video from our upcoming release Lost Machine – Live ,” says drummer Michael “Away” Langevin . “The recording used in the video comes from the show in Montreal in the summer of 2019, and the audio is from a show in Quebec City two weeks later, where we recorded the entire live album. We were obviously excited to play in our home province of Quebec, in front of family and friends, and as documented in this rendition of the song 'The Lost Machine'.”
“The video is directed by Felipe Belalcazar , who is also working on a Voivod documentary. I created the artwork on the road around the world last year, and it was animated by Jaan Silmberg . More is coming soon, enjoy,” he concludes.
