Rob Halford of Judas Priest wants to work with members of Behemoth and Emperor

Rob Halford, vocalist of Judas Priest, said in an interview with Noisey that he wants to start a project with Nergal, vocalist and guitarist of the Polish black metal band Behemoth. He also hopes to do something with Ihsahn, from Emperor.

“The Black Metal project! I met Nergal recently, and I told him, ‘You know I love your kind of music. I’d love to dip my toe in the water and see what happens.’ So, for now it’s nebulous, but hopefully, at some point, there will be more real opportunities to do something with Nergal and also with Ihsahn. Anthems to the Welkin at Dusk is a great Emperor album. They’re both incredible – they have this real mastery of their world ,” said Halford.

Rob Halford recently released Judas Priest's new album, Firepower. Behemoth will release the DVD Messe Noire , and Ihsahn will release his seventh solo album, Ámr , on May 4th.
