Sophia Urista, vocalist of the jazz and metal band Brass Against , was involved in a controversial scene during the band's performance at Welcome to Rockville last Friday, the 12th.
The singer invited a fan on stage, lowered her pants, and urinated on the man's face. This action surprised her bandmates, according to a post the group made on social media after the incident. "We had a lot of fun at Welcome to Rockville . Sophia got carried away. It's not something the rest of us expected and it's not something you'll see at our show," they wrote.
According to reports on social media, Sofia had warned that she needed to urinate when she invited a "volunteer" from the audience, and the man who appears in the video volunteered. "The band had no idea she was going to do that, then she simply left the stage," one internet user said .
According to Loudwire , the local newspaper, The Daytona Beach News-Journal , from the city where the event was held, reported that a police report was filed regarding the incident and the criminal investigations division opened an investigation for indecent exposure.
According to the newspaper, Florida state law in the United States stipulates that it is illegal to "expose genitals in public or on another person's private premises in a vulgar or indecent manner," with a penalty of up to one year in prison or a fine of one thousand dollars.
