The 2025 edition of the MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) was marked by a moving tribute to Ozzy Osbourne , led by Steven Tyler , Joe Perry , Nuno Bettencourt , and YUNGBLUD .
The supergroup delivered a thrilling seven-minute performance blending the classics “Crazy Train,” “Changes,” and “Mama, I'm Coming Home” as a tribute to the eternal Prince of Darkness, who passed away at the end of July at the age of 76 due to a heart attack and acute myocardial infarction .
The tribute moved the audience and reinforced YUNGBLUD's personal connection with the heavy metal icon. In July, during the Back To The Beginning – where Ozzy gave his last performance – the artist had already surprised with his version of "Changes," which was later released on digital platforms for charity.
Steven Tyler's participation is also very welcome for rock fans. The vocalist announced his retirement from touring with Aerosmith in 2023 due to serious vocal problems. Since then, Steven has only performed in occasional shows, such as the VMAs and the Back To The Beginning tour .
