Vixen show on Tuesday night, August 8th, longtime bassist Share Ross announced that she is going on hiatus from the band.
The revelation came during a performance preceding the Monsters Of Rock in Miami, Florida. After playing a few songs with her bandmates, Ross took the microphone and gave a speech to the audience, saying that "life has become a little complicated" and that she would be stepping away from Vixen "for a while."
Immediately afterwards, the bassist announced Brazilian Julia Lage as her replacement and asked fans to welcome her with open arms. Lage is best known for her work in the band Barra de Saia . She is currently married to Richie Kotzen .
The Brazilian bassist had the opportunity to showcase some of her work to the fans right there, live, playing the track "Streets In Paradise" and a few other songs that closed the show while Share Ross watched everything from the side of the stage.
