Andre Matos ' death VIPER bandmates paid a moving tribute to the vocalist.

A new version of "The Spreading Soul," a track from the 1992 Evolution

Titled “The Spreading Soul Forever”, the song features vocals recorded by Andre Matos in a session with producer Maurício Cersosimo on July 14, 2013.

“After Andre’s death, I searched through the material we had recorded in the studio and found this version. It’s my tribute to Andre, to VIPER, and to the fans,” says Maurício Cersosimo, who has worked with artists such as Paul McCartney , Avril Lavigne , Sepultura , Titãs , Emicida , among others.

"Andre left VIPER before Evolution , but he always said he wanted to have recorded that album, especially that song, which was one of his favorites," says Felipe Machado .

“We were surprised to find that we had a complete, perfect take of this song. We even played it live a few times on tour,” says Pit Passarell , bassist and composer of the song.

Drummer Guilherme Martin concludes: "The most important thing is being able to be alongside Andre again in a way, and feeling that his presence, talent, and charisma remain with us and are eternal."

The instrumental track for the version released today was recorded by Felipe Machado (guitar), Pit Passarell (bass), Hugo Mariutti (acoustic guitar), and Guilherme Martin (drums). The string arrangement is by Renato Zanuto , and the song was produced and mixed by Mauricio Cersosimo at CTS Studios in New York, USA.
