VIPER fans in São Paulo had a great opportunity: at an event at The Metal Bar in Pinheiros, the band brought together fans and friends for the first showing of the music video for "Under the Sun," the group's first new track in 15 years.

The music video, directed by Caio Cobra ( Intervenção , Netflix ), will have its official online release next Tuesday, the 17th, but fans who attended the event were able to watch the video in advance. In the video, the band is in a deserted and arid setting, which reflects well the content of the lyrics, inspired by road movies and "On the Road," a classic by Jack Kerouac.

All the band members and the video director were present at the event; before the screening, they gave a short speech about the video and the song, which marks such an important moment in the band's history. Besides being the first preview of a new album, their first since All My Life (2007), the track is also the first new song featuring vocalist Leandro Caçoilo and guitarist Kiko Shred.

As guitarist Felipe Machado pointed out, it's as if the night officially marks VIPER's return. Pit Passarell, bassist and co-founder of the band with Felipe, added: it's a fresh start, a new life for the band, and "Under the Sun" is just the beginning. Timeless , VIPER's new album, will arrive in 2022.
