After returning to Rock In Rio for a show on Metal Day, VIPER releases this Tuesday, the 13th, the title track from the band's highly anticipated seventh studio album. In "Timeless," composed by guitarist and co-founder Felipe Machado , the band returns to its power metal roots.
Following the pattern of album names derived from the songs, the new project offers "a good summary of the album's sound: fast, melodic, with a killer vocal," as Felipe explains.
The song and album title relate to the band's journey. "Time can devour you, embrace you, or simply pass by, but VIPER has weathered everything time has given us. And here we are, always moving forward, always strong. The new album is incredible," explains bassist Pit Passarell.
"With the band's characteristic energy, this single is surprising because, even while maintaining the original context of VIPER's compositions, it shows an updated sound that reflects our current phase. 'Timeless' will be welcomed by both new fans and those who have been with us for years," says drummer Guilherme Martin .
In this new single, VIPER features another special guest: Nando Machado on bass.
The new album will be the first with the band's current lineup, which includes Leandro Caçoilo (vocals), Felipe Machado and Kiko Shred (guitars), Pit Passarell (bass and vocals), and Guilherme Martin (drums). The band is currently touring Brazil – in addition to the new material, the shows also feature classic songs from the band, including "Living for the Night," "Rebel Maniac," and "To Live Again," among others.
With the singles “Under the Sun” and “Freedom of Speech” already released, the album Timeless will be VIPER's first album of new material in 15 years, the successor to All My Life (2007), and will be released by the Wikimetal Music . The release date has not yet been announced.
