Wikimetal Music brings VIPER fans . The live album To Live Again – Live in São Paulo , featuring the band's legendary performance at Via Marques in 2012, has been reissued with a new slipcase and the addition of the track "The Spreading Soul Forever" sung by Andre Matos. The new version is now available for purchase Wikimetal store .
In 2020, Viper honored Andre on the anniversary of his death with the release of this version of "The Spreading Soul Forever," featuring the singer on vocals in a recording made in 2013. The original version of the song is from the 1992 album Evolution , when Andre Matos was no longer with Viper.
“Andre left VIPER before Evolution , but he always said he wanted to have recorded that album, especially that song, which was one of his favorites,” says Felipe Machado . “We were surprised to find that there was a complete, perfect take of that song. We even played it live a few times on tour,” adds Pit Passarell , bassist and composer of the song.
The show for the album To Live Again – Live in São Paulo marked a historic moment in Viper's career, where the band reunited with members Andre Matos and Yves Passarell for an unforgettable night on stage, filling the Via Marques venue. During an appearance on The Wikimetal Happy Hour , Yves recalled the emotional moment that marked the last time he shared the stage with Andre Matos.
