VIPER , one of the most iconic Brazilian heavy metal bands, celebrates 40 years of history with a live stream featuring current and former members. During the event, the band will make a special announcement that is expected to surprise fans. The broadcast will take place on Wikimetal YouTube channel next Tuesday, April 8th, from 9 PM to 11 PM.

The date for the live stream was chosen for a very special reason: it will take place exactly 40 years after the band's first show. VIPER's debut performance took place at the Teatro Lira Paulistana on April 8, 1985. Since then, the band has had a successful career in Brazil and abroad, playing in Europe, Japan, the United States, and South America, and releasing albums that have become classics of world heavy metal: Soldiers of Sunrise , Theatre of Fate , Evolution , Vipera Sapiens , VIPER Live in Tokyo , Coma Rage , All My Life , and the most recent, Timeless , released in 2023.

Since the beginning of their career, the band has lost two members. Vocalist Andre Matos died of a heart attack in 2019, and bassist Pit Passarell passed away from pancreatic cancer in 2024. The current VIPER lineup consists of Leandro Caçoilo (vocals), Felipe Machado and Kiko Shred (guitars), Dani Matos (bass), Andre Matos' brother, and Guilherme Martin (drums).
