VIPER releases this Friday, the 13th, “Quinze Anos”, a composition by Felipe Machado and the last single from the new edition of the album Tem Para Todo Mundo . As part of the celebrations for their 40-year career, the re-release of the project arrives on July 4th with a new mix and additional recordings.
“'Quinze Anos' offers a look at the past, a reflection on how the world and life have changed since we were that age,” says guitarist Felipe Machado. “'It doesn't matter what they say, but what they think,' as a line says… My lyrics are a kind of counterpoint to '8 de Abril,' a composition in which Pit Passarell also used metaphors to talk about our adolescence. I chose this song as the third single from the album because the new version is much better than the original. It was, in fact, the song that was most different from the work released in 1996.”
"Tem Para Todo Mundo" had never been released on streaming platforms before and marked a different phase in the band's trajectory, with lyrics in Portuguese and a sound more geared towards Brazilian rock — a contrast to the heavy metal that made the group famous.
The original edition was produced by Mayrton Bahia ( Legião Urbana ) and featured Pit Passarell (bass and vocals), Felipe Machado and Yves Passarell (guitars), and Renato Graccia (drums).
The 2025 edition, in turn, was produced by Val Santos and Felipe Machado, leaning towards VIPER's heavier style. The artwork was designed by Fernanda Victorello .
“Quinze Anos” is a Wikimetal Music / FMLabs . Listen on your preferred digital platform .
