VIPER 's 1994 album , Evolution , arrives in a new format today, the 2nd, at the Wikimetal .
The slipcase version of the album includes the 10 original tracks and 5 bonus tracks: demos of “Coming From the Inside”, “Evolution”, “Rebel Maniac”, “Dead Light”, “The Shelter”, and “Still The Same”, which were added to the album's 2018 re-release.
“It was just me, Pit [Passarell] and Yves [Passarell], with a mega-contract with a Japanese record label – all that was missing was a complete band,” recalls guitarist Felipe Machado about the difficult time following the departure of vocalist Andre Matos and drummer Guilherme Martin .
“Besides the difficulty in finding someone of Andre’s caliber, we thought the new VIPER would be even more interesting if we had the band’s main songwriter singing his own songs, even if the vocal style was a little different,” Machado adds and reveals.
