Viper Day is a date that has become part of the Brazilian rock calendar. April 8th commemorates the band's first show at Lira Paulistana in São Paulo in 1985. Every year, current and former members reunite to celebrate the repertoire of one of the greatest heavy rock bands in the country. This year, the tribute will be to the album 'Evolution', which turns 25 years old.

With vocalist Andre Matos absent due to a trip abroad, the guest vocalist will be former Eterna member Leandro Caçoilo. Known to Brazilian audiences for his acclaimed contributions to various projects, Leandro will share vocal duties with bassist Pit Passarell, the original vocalist on the album "Evolution," as well as other Brazilian metal legends. Completing the Viper lineup are guitarists Felipe Machado and Hugo Mariutti, and drummer Guilherme Martin.

Recorded in Germany and released worldwide in 1992, “Evolution” is Viper's best-selling album ever. Classics like Rebel Maniac , Dead Light , and Evolution marked the 1990s with the band touring Europe and Japan, as well as historic performances in Brazil, such as opening for Metallica in São Paulo. As part of the celebrations, a remastered edition of the CD will be re-released later this year by Wikimetal Music with very special bonus tracks: the pre-production demos of “Evolution,” which feature quite surprising versions of some songs that later topped the charts in Brazil and Japan. The album will be available for sale in the first half of 2017.

The opening act will be the band Skyscraper, another well-known name in Brazilian heavy rock from the 1990s that is back in action.
